In case you hadn't noticed my name is John Briscombe. This is my little spot on the World Wide Web where I display my personal portfolio and post my thoughts or updates.
About Me
I am 22 years old and was born and bred in England. I have A-levels in Business Studies, Economics and Accounting. I love listening to music and enjoy web design.
Web Design
I am passionate about using computers and especially expressing myself through the design of websites. Though I am not especially artistically inclined, I believe I have a keen eye for what looks good or not and use this to my advantage.
I created my first website in 2000 when I was around 15 years old! Throughout my time I have designed various websites for the odd person if they ever wanted one but never anything too serious. Over the past year I have been taking my web design more seriously, sharpening up my HTML and CSS skills and moving on to learning PHP. Though I have made many web sites, I have not worked for many clients. Because of this I am willing to work for less cost than a normal web designer in an attempt to gain more experience and increase my somewhat lacking portfolio.
I am experienced at XHTML and CSS and have an intermediate knowledge of and PHP and Photoshop. I adhere to the web standards defined by W3C aimed at making the web a better place.
